COMPOTA RESIDENCE AT BIBLIOTECA DE MARVILA E MULTIDISCIPLINARY IMPROVISATION
VITA (from the Latin word “vida”) is the result of multidisciplinary work developed in the 16th creation residency COMPOTA, a project whose objective is the development of creative activities and cultural programming centered on the theme of “Identity,” both in its individual and social aspects.
Recently graduated professionals and artists from the Superior School of Dance and the Superior School of Music of Lisbon (IPL) come together to create an original performance in just five days, based on a collaborative work process.
In previous residencies and performances (February 2022), also held at the Marvila Library, the team built “Húmus” based on the literary work of Raúl Brandão. Continuing this relationship between literature and creative processes, a sequence of two authors is now inaugurated.
The poetry of António Ramos Rosa carries the aim of searching and, above all, building; of full, solar life, open to multiple possibilities. There is a call for urgent awareness that we are all builders of truth and meaning, as if life itself were demanding to be lived.
